Oregon Road Runners Club
Welcome to the sixth running of the Mt. Hood Pacific Crest Trail Ultramarathon! This run is being held as a continuing memorial to Scott McQueeney. After costs are covered, all profit will go to Shannon McQueeney's college expenses.
We offer a 50 mile and a 50 kilometer race. Both races start at the Clackamas Lake Ranger station (which is located next to beautiful Timothy Lake). The course for both runs is an out and back on the pacific crest trail. The 50K has 2000 ft of climbing and the 50M has 4000 (it goes all the way up to Timberline lodge on Mt Hood). Starting times are:
50M - 6:30 a.m.
For the 50M, an early start is available at 5:30 a.m. (over 12 hours to finish). It is OK to change distances before race start, just tell volunteers at the finish (no changes out on the course).
This run is part of the Oregon Trail Ultramarathon Race Series. The PCT 50 mile run is one of two races over 50K and, as such, is your best chance to rack up points in the series.
This year we have two race directors. Bob Boss and Meg Upshaw are now directing the race. There will be a few changes. This year finish line food is being catered by Western Culinary Institute We still have the same beautiful course a great set of volunteers and every runner has a chance to spot bigfoot. Hope to see you at the starting line!
